For over fifty years, CCH has been educating students in the various crafts of the entertainment industry. Whether you're an aspiring filmmaker, screenwriter, director, editor, producer, or actor, CCH can provide you with the knowledge and skills to help make your dreams come true. Instruction at CCH is hands-on, so you touch a camera immediately! We offer professional and academic instruction in the theory and practice of all aspects of motion pictures and television. Our goal is to turn out artists with technical proficiency...and technicians who are also artists.
Location: Columbia College Hollywood is located in the former Panavision Cameras building in suburban Los Angeles. The campus affords students close proximity to many major film studios and production companies.
Admissions: Applicants must be at least 18 years old by the time of enrollment and must also have a high school diploma or GED (except for the Summer Youth Filmmaking Workshops, which is for High School Students Only). Prospective students are encouraged to attend an open house event on campus or contact the admissions office to schedule a personal tour. SAT scores are not required but are recommended.
Financial Aid: Financial aid is available to qualifying students. Aid packages include federal assistance such as Stafford Loans, Pell grants and work study, as well as Cal Grants through the state of California.
Career Services: Career services include career counseling, resume preparation and interview coaching. Students are placed on internships with local film studios and production companies, and will receive assistance finding full-time employment upon graduation.
