Intensive One Year Programs
VFS's intensive one-year production programs are the equivalent of a 3 or 4 year program elsewhere. Students receive a comprehensive education including lectures, tutorials, productions, collaborations with other departments, mentorship with professionals, and top guest speakers.
Professional Reel
Students graduate with a professional portfolio of work or demo reel showcasing their abilities. Many of these can be viewed on YouTube (search word: Vancouver Film School).
Professional Instruction
Our faculty are professionals active in their fields, so students receive industry-relevant and up-to-date instruction. Recent instructor credits include Smallville, The L Word, The Butterfly Effect, Over the Hedge, and Star Trek: Enterprise. Instructors have been nominated for Oscars, have won Emmys, and work for companies like EA, Nokia Games, ILM, Paramount, and many more.
